A private tour with Philadelphia Tour Hub is always a completely custom itinerary, created just for you and your group! A private tour to Valley Forge National Historical Park can be from 3 hours – 10 hours, depending on the destination. Pick-up and Drop-off locations are the group’s choice. While many visitors to Philadelphia have specific sites they would like to see, many are happy to let our team create a custom itinerary that fits their interests, budget, mobility, and timeline. Typically, tours spend most of their time in and around Philadelphia, but we welcome any ideas for your dream tour.
No two groups are alike and we will plan a trip tailored to your group’s interests, budget, and needs. Below is a sample itinerary to use as inspiration for your perfect tour:
The drive out from Philadelphia takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Your tour will always include a drive around Valley Forge National Historic Park where you will see regimental monuments and re-creations of the huts used by the troops who camped here. You’ll have many opportunities to get out, explore, and take photos across the park. You’ll visit the site of George Washington’s headquarters and the Washington Memorial Chapel, built in the early 1900’s to commemorate this unique part of history. Throughout your drive, your guide will share stories and historical information. You’ll also have a stop at the park’s Visitor Center, where you can see a short movie about the encampment, browse in the store and visit the museum area.
A longer tour can also include a visit to Fairmount Park, time to explore the beautiful and eclectic neighborhoods of Chestnut Hill, Manayunk, or Mount Airy, or a drive to some of Philadelphia’s Must-See Spots in Center City.
