A private tour with WeVenture Philadelphia is always a completely custom itinerary, created just for you and your group! A private Reimagined Spaces tour can be from 2 hours – 10 hours, depending on the destination. Pick-up and drop-off locations are the group’s choice. Your tour focusing on reimagined spaces in Philadelphia can showcase several types of buildings and spaces that have been repurposed and given new life, including potentially visiting the newly revitalized Delaware River Waterfront, discovering the hidden history behind famous landmarks, sampling some locally-produced treats or beverages, and learning about programs and organizations committed to responsible development throughout the city. In partnership with The GREEN Program (TGP), 10% of this sustainable Philadelphia tour proceeds will be donated to TGP’s scholarship fund to help disadvantaged and underserved students gain access to global sustainability education opportunities.

Highlights:

A tour designed to show you some of Philadelphia’s most popular reimagined spaces may include a visit to the always popular Reading Terminal Market (originally a train station), the vibrant atmosphere at Spruce Street Harbor Park, epic bridge views at Race Street Pier, or a stroll through the newest space in Philly: Cherry Street Pier. These 2 or 3-hour-long tours are usually limited to just a few shortstops.

Half-Day Tour: A half-day tour allows you more opportunity for you to take full advantage of being on a private tour. You’ll be able to visit all of the locations mentioned in the Highlights Tour and have time to explore even more fantastic examples of reinvented spaces throughout the city. You and your group could check out the Liberty Lands in the popular Northern Liberties neighborhood, take in the city skyline from the Viaduct Rail Park, grab a sweet treat at Little Baby’s Ice Cream (which has two flavors made specifically for their neighborhood), or enjoy a local beer or spirit at any number of breweries or distilleries, such as Yards, New Liberty, Evil Genius, or Fermentery Form.

Full-Day Tour: A full-day tour gives you the chance to explore Reimagined Spaces in Philadelphia to its fullest: spend as much time as you like at any of the previously mentioned stops, discover the epic saga of the Divine Lorraine Hotel (and see it for yourself), get out of the van and hop on the rejuvenated trolley line (just as beautiful as it was in the 1940s!), head to South Philly to check out the incredibly cool Navy Yard, or take some time to learn about Shift Capital, bringing revitalization and mixed-use real estate to underserved neighborhoods.
