Highlights:

A tour designed to show you some of Philadelphia’s most popular spots that support and encourage sustainable food practices daily may include a visit to the always popular Reading Terminal Market, a stop at the educational and civic-minded Greensgrow Farms, or a stroll through the vibrant Riverwards Produce Market. These 2- or 3-hour-long tours are usually limited to just a few short stops.

Half-Day Tour: A half-day tour allows more opportunity for you to take full advantage of being on a private tour. You’ll be able visit all of the locations mentioned on the Highlights Tour and have time to explore even more fantastic examples of sustainable food practices throughout the city. These could include stopping by Standard Tap pub for a bite to eat or a local brew, Common Market for farm-fresh food, lunch at Stockyard Sandwich, or more time experiencing locally-made products at Reading Terminal Market.

Full-Day Tour: A full-day tour gives you the chance to explore Food Sustainability in Philadelphia to its fullest: spend as much time as you like at any of the previously mentioned stops, head out to the neighborhood of Mt. Airy to pick up a loaf or a pint at Earth Bread & Brewery, visit the Awbury Agricultural Village to see Philly’s shared farmspace, stop by Bennett Composting to learn about composting in a major city, spend some time in Wissahickon Park, or check out the amazing bulk foods available at Weaver’s Way Co-Op. You may also have time to stop at some other sights in Philadelphia – like Independence Mall, Love Park, or the Rocky Steps. Your wish is our command!
